A gorgeous shawl!

I do have quite a range of shawl patterns, but it is fun to make a pattern more than once!

Especially when you do it in different colours! 

I know, I've said it  before, but it is amazing to see how it comes out!

And here we have it again...

A few weeks back, I displayed a two-tone blue shawl

look at this!

Cutie duckie!

I have done this duckie before, but this one is special because it is made to the customer's specific requirements! A dress and a bow in her hair to match!

My sister says this turtle looks like a school boy!!!

A love gift

You may recall that in 2017 I made our son a HUGE wool blanket - one of those forever gifts - to never forget his Mummy's love...

Our daughter wasn't so keen on a woollen blanket, but decided a cotton shawl would be great!

So we found some lovely bright colours...

And a pattern that worked with with being random with those colours...

And here it is!!!

An amazing custom order

I like custom orders, and shawls certainly are different from toys.

I have recently acquired (thanks to my birthday) some books with shawl patterns, and I am looking forward to trying lots of them out!!!

A recent winner in one of my competitions decided she didn't need any toys, but a shawl for herself was perfect....

So after lots of ummmm-ing and ahhhhhh-ing...

She chose this pattern: 

I'm not big on tassels myself, but I think they made this shawl look gorgeous!

Here is a close up of the pattern and the harmony of the colours - beautiful!

Blankies and more blankies

With now over 80 blankies ordered, these are definitely the most popular item at Betsy's Boutique.

Have many variations in colour and the animals available, it makes for lots of fun for me in knitting them ☺

The zebra and lion blankies are once again available, bringing the list of available designs to:

An Aussie Blankie

So far Lorraine Pistorio has not designed a koala blankie, but I had a customer who just HAD to have one!!!

So I did my best... Popping my koala on this pile of leaves!

Probably not the prettiest koala, but maybe with a little more practice I will perfect it ☺

Look at that colour!!!

This colourpillar (my new name for it) is SO bright! 

A really fun project, and although not ordered, it was snapped up by an excited buyer in no time!

I am hoping to get more orders of the colourpillar - in different colours - it would be SO much fun!

2017's big project!

It took several months between doing orders for paying customers, but I was so thankful to finish my biggest project ever in late August! 

I wanted to knit a BIG blanket for our son, one to last a lifetime, to always be a tangible reminder of his Mummy's love ☺

You can just see his cheeky face peeping over the blanket on the left there!!!

I was SO happy when I put it on his bed, and it was SO big! It is SO warm too!!!
