The kids ;)

Our kids are always wanting me to make them a toy - but they have enough!

Recently they asked for headbands, so I did my best!

The hard bit about headbands is that they stretch when made of yarn! But the kids were happy, so I am too!

Cutie duckie!

I have done this duckie before, but this one is special because it is made to the customer's specific requirements! A dress and a bow in her hair to match!

2017's big project!

It took several months between doing orders for paying customers, but I was so thankful to finish my biggest project ever in late August! 

I wanted to knit a BIG blanket for our son, one to last a lifetime, to always be a tangible reminder of his Mummy's love ☺

You can just see his cheeky face peeping over the blanket on the left there!!!

I was SO happy when I put it on his bed, and it was SO big! It is SO warm too!!!

I recently ran a competition on Facebook.

I was looking for pictures of a Betsy toy with its friend. 

I didn't get many responses - but those I got were fun ☺

Playful puppy!

My niece loves dogs - so I found the perfect birthday gift for her this year!!!!

Isn't it cute? I wonder what she will call it?

A fun order!

Most people only order one or two items at a time, 

so it was very exciting to get a rather large order just recently.

I am thankful it was not a rush job, because it did take a while, 

but it was fun doing such a range of items!

Variety in an order makes it very satisfying for me ☺

Colourific!

I had wondered why my customers only ever ordered animals in "normal" colours.

So I thought I would experiment....

Nine different colours...

But the photos just don't do this bunny justice!!!! Ever so much better "in the flesh" ☺

Precious Spots!

I was itching to make up this pattern, and thankful to have a customer order it! It would be wonderful to make it again - every time it comes out just a little different, and it is SO fun to see them!

The hat, in my opinion, is what makes her "oh so cute"!

Lorraine Pistorio is a VERY clever lady!!!

So many times people overseas can't represent Australian animals correctly, but this is excellent!

Now kangaroos do NOT hop down the street with a huge red heart in their pouch 

...but... 

this is an exception ☺

It isn't always this green in Australia where the kangaroos live, but no doubt this one is ecstatic with all that delicious greenery! 

Yes, the heart comes out ☺

Overall Twins

They really could not be twins, but with identical overalls they became twins =)

I hope they always stick together and give LOTS of love in their new "forever home"!

Pretty Pink Pig

She is big and cuddly, and can you see that tail??? =)

And did you like the way those ears curl over?

Now this looks like a great toy - but I also have had a few people say that it would be great as a door stop - what do you think???

Lots of Lamb

Another new toy!!!

Rather chunky - with arms outstretched - great for cuddles - ideal for kids!

All limbs are knitted in place, not moveable...

Although not designed to wear overalls, I am sure that overalls could be made to suit =)

Baby Bear!

December was quiet, so I had time to make up a few of the patterns I had not completed before then!

One of those completed was Baby Bear.... Quite the cutie I think!

This bear would be a perfect gift for a little girl...

But another colour overall could easily be made...

In mid-2016 I was contacted by a very excited grandma to be, who was looking for a present that was different to the ones you can easily pick up in your average shopping centre..

Ballerina Bunny

One of the more popular bunnies has been my variation on the small bunny. I adventurously made up a pattern for skirt, and are now having fun from time to time changing the colours used to create gorgeous friends for girls...

My first was this little girl, bought as a Christmas present for Lucy! I do hope Lucy loves her little bunny! =) 

Then I was asked to make another ballerina for a 3 year old girl who LOVES ballet...

Another perfect Christmas present I hope! =)

Next I needed to give a present myself to a young girl as a going away present...

She is loved to bits, and my little friend has no chance of forgetting me ;)

I am sure there will be more ballerinas... And maybe we can do different skirts =)

2016 - what a year!

2016 has been a BIG year for Betsy's Boutique!!!!

Bunnies, bunnies and more bunnies

It is pretty obvious that so far, bunnies are most popular request at Betsy's Boutique.

Here is the gallery of those done this year, though I am working on another order now which includes a bunny! =)

I love the way that the different yarns change the bunny to make it so individual, and even as the producer of these bunnies, I find that there are some of them that I really love more than others! So far, I have enjoyed the small bunnies most - they are not too big and not too small...
